Buildings and services should be used and enjoyed by everyone, and we can help make sure that happens.

We can:

  • Survey our members online

  • Bring people together for you to consult with

  • Mystery shop your service

  • Review your policies

  • Audit your website.

All of these will provide you with expert and direct feedback to ensure your services become as inclusive as possible.

Many thanks for all your support, commitment and work for Heartlands. We look forward to working with you and 'the team' in the future.

Sarah & the Heartlands Team

We carry out e-based consultations though a body of disabled people and carers based countywide, and via our social networks. We offer this service to organisations conducting market research and service development who wish to obtain broad views and opinions on any specific issue from the people who do or may use their service. We can work with you to develop a questionnaire based on your needs and collate and report on the findings.

Focus Groups

We can bring together groups of disabled people and carers with varying types of health conditions or disability for workshop-based consultation, to enable you to generate discussion and present plans or ideas in an informal and friendly setting. Your organisation will gain expert feedback and valuable suggestions for potential improvements.

We will help facilitate the meeting and will work with you beforehand to ensure you get the most out of the consultation exercise. Our report will comprise all the feedback from the participants and enable you to demonstrate your active consultation with people with a long term health condition or disability and carers.

The workshop and report provided really useful ideas, which helped us to improve the project at the design stage. This will help ensure the scheme is accessible and enjoyed by everyone. I look forward to working with you again.

Mystery Shopping

If you want to user-test how inclusive your services are, from information to reception areas, your staff, telephone calls to meeting spaces, then our mystery shopping service could be the ideal choice.

We will facilitate a group of people to user-test your services and their experiences and impressions will be collated into a detailed and comprehensive report for easy reference.

Website Audit

A website which is available to everyone and easy to navigate can increase traffic and online spend and therefore become a vital tool for your business. Too often websites do not perform well for disabled people, especially where compatibility with reader software is concerned, but we can test all functions of your website and provide recommendations for accessible improvements.
