Disability Cornwall is a user led, disabled people's organisation. We provide a range of services to empower, assist and facilitate independent living and when necessary, act as a representative voice for disabled people, their families and carers. We challenge discrimination and inequalities and promote examples of good practice for others to follow.
There are around 106,000 disabled people in Cornwall, this includes long term limiting health conditions. This equates to almost one quarter of our county's population.
We are a membership organisation and welcome the involvement of our members in furthering the inclusion of disabled people in society.

Personal Budgets & Direct Payments – Training for Employers |
|
Disability Cornwall are organising another small informal event in partnership with Fish Insurance, for people using Direct Payments or Personal Budgets, or who intend to in the future.
Fish Insurance operates an advice line and takes over 700 enquires a month about employment and personnel related issues. They therefore have excellent frontline knowledge of the challenges facing people employing personal assistants and we have used this information to shape the programme.
