This historic town, formerly known as the county town is located in the heart of Cornwall, equidistant from both the north and south coasts and situtaed on the western fringes of the beautiful landscape that is Bodmin Moor.

Bodmin makes an ideal base for your holiday, short break or for a day trip. There's no need to use a car whilst you are here as there are six attractions within walking distance of the town centre including a Steam Railway, the Town Museum and the Courtroom Experience. On the town's doorstep there are two grand country houses both with lovely gardens - Pencarrow and Lanhydrock- and if you enjoy cycling and walking, Bodmin will be your heaven with the Camel Trail starting in the town. If it's the outdoors that you enjoy, then we have something for you.

From Bodmin Moor and its magnificent windswept tors, to Helman Tor and its magnificent views or even the Bodmin Beacon Nature Reserve, the area is abundant with wildlife, fresh air and peace. Bodmin is great for touring too! It is only 20 minutes away by car to the famous Eden Project, St Michaels Mount is little over an hour away and you can be splashing your feet in the sea at Padstow in less than half an hour.Likewise if you don't have a car, there are good bus and train links to the rest of Cornwall.

For information regarding the accessibility of Bodmin please contact Bodmin Tourist Information 01208 76616.
