|What people say about Disability Cornwall|
Just wanted to say a big thank you for the room that we used for our Team Training over the last few weeks.
Everyone in the team said how clean and tidy it was and how friendly all the staff were.
We will certainly look at hiring the room again when we are next doing any training.
The IMS Team, at Cornwall Council
Good luck with all you do. You help so many people and are so needed and appreciated by everyone.
This is just a note to say how very impressed and interested I am in your magazine 'Discover'. Thank you very much indeed for sending me a copy and I hope all is going well in these difficult times.
Lady Mary Holborrow
Thanks so much for making the carers so happy they reported back with lovely news of how good the show looked and how well the photo-shoot went.
Julia Rowlands (Carers Colour Group)
Thank you for sending on the magazines. There are always fascinating articles in Discover anyway, although it is great to see some of our favourite doggie pictures in it! We are friends with George and Ann Le Hunte and it is always great to see what they have been getting involved in. There is always something for Simon to gain inspiration from.
I just want to say thank you for sending me a copy of Discover. BOTH Christine and I were extremely impressed with the quality of the publication and the range of topics covered. It's really a professional job and congratulations to all involved.
Just want to say what an excellent magazine I think Discover is. It has just arrived in the office and it is a breath of fresh air compared with many of the magazines that we get from agencies and groups that have far more in the way of resources than Disability Cornwall. The photos really make it, the layout is great, I love the cartoon. What comes over is a whole host of interesting activities and possibilities along with issues and information. I also think it is good that you included the magazine for carers. It's the best publication that has come into our office for some time! Ooops.....better stop reading it and get on with some work!
Jan Crawley (South West Foundtion)
Just wanted to say I really enjoy the magazine and would like to give you a donation occasionally to help your great cause.
Please do send me a copy of Discover magazine on a regular basis. I went yesterday to Marie Therese House in Hayle as I have M.S. I thought it had some really interesting articles in it. I took one free Discover for a friend and forgot to pick one up for myself! I am home a lot and find the magazine so useful. Many, many thanks.
Long may your excellent cause continue!
Please send me a copy of Discover as soon as possible!! I fully agree with the comment in the last issue about buses and dentists!
Thank you for sending Discover so speedily! It really is a credit to the producers – style, content, attitude and colour! Congratulations to you all.
A short note to say thanks to Disability Cornwall for hosting the Consultation meeting on 'The Right to Control'. I found the meeting very informative and was pleased to learn about the huge contribution Disability Cornwall makes to the lives of disabled people in the county. All best wishes.
Jonathan Shaw, Government Minister for Disabled People
Just wanted to say thanks to Cornwall Disability for the hire of the sand chair on Porthminster Beach. It is a vital piece of equipment for me, and without it my holiday would be completely spoiled. Please give my thanks to the people concerned. Best wishes and thank you for your very worthwhile work.
Thank you for your efforts to secret shop public services in Cornwall. The exercise has provided us with a lot of information to consider when we develop plans and services for the new unitary authority. It has been decided that the secret shopping exercises should be undertaken at least once a year and we would welcome you future partnership working to see this happen. Thank you and well done for an excellent job.
Emma Cook, Cornwall Council
I was most grateful for the interest and contribution to the Group with reference to the Domestic Violence and Abuse Strategy, and I would ask you to pass on my thanks to them. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with them and achieving a greater understanding of the issues faced.
Daphne Lockwood, Strategic Domestic Violence Co-Ordinator for Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly
Many thanks for all your support, commitment and work for Heartlands. We look forward to working with you and 'the team' in the future, to insure Heartlands is an inclusive project and considers the needs of the whole community, including those with a disability. Thanks again and best wishes.
Sarah and the Heartlands Team
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you very much for allowing us to observe your Consultation Panel in action. It was a very productive day both on a personal and professional level, in particular for me, it was a delight to meet Nathan Doidge! Thank you once again.
RE: SW Coast Path Manager Workshop
Thanks for all you help with the workshop, the feedback I got was that everyone enjoyed the talk and got a lot out of it. As the final action of the workshop I asked people to write on a post it note, one thing that they would do differently as a result of the workshop. As you can see from the attached list of responses, between them they should make quite a difference!
Mark Owen, Path Development Officer
Just a brief note to say that I very much enjoyed the chance to address Disability Cornwall again.
Matthew Taylor, MP

Jasmine Goodair, Caradon Community Halls Network
