If you receive a Direct Payment or fund your own support, our friendly and professional team is here to make things easy.

You can choose the level of help that suits you, from payroll-only support to full budget management. We’ll keep everything compliant and give you more time to focus on living your life.

Payroll Service

If you employ your own personal assistants (PAs), we can take care of everything payroll-related for you. From calculating pay to liaising with HMRC, we’ll make sure everything runs smoothly, so you can focus on what matters most. Our fees are simple, transparent and covered within your Support Plan, so you don’t have to use your own budget.

Costs

The monthly charge depends on how many PAs are being paid. Please see below for more information.

What We Need From You

To get started, just complete our Payroll Registration Form.

Each month, we’ll need you to tell us: the number of hours your PAs have worked, their rate of pay and any sickness or annual leave taken.

You can send this information by email (recommended), post, or phone, whatever suits you best.

We’ll handle the rest.

    What’s Included

    When you choose our Payroll Service, we will:

    • Register you with HMRC and act as your payroll agent.
    • Email you a clear monthly breakdown so you know exactly what to pay your PAs and HMRC.
    • Send payslips directly to your PAs via email.
    • Calculate all required payments such as tax, National Insurance, and holiday pay.
    • Provide ongoing support, including pension advice if needed.
    • Complete all required forms, including P60 and P45.

    What’s included

    When you choose our Payroll service we will:

    • Register you with HMRC, making sure they know we are your agent. This means we can talk to HMRC and complete monthly submissions on your behalf.
    • Email you a monthly breakdown. This will let you know how much to pay your PAs, HMRC, and disAbility Cornwall.
    • Send payslips directly to your PAs via email.
    • Calculate all statutory and required payments. Like holiday pay, student loan repayments, and more.
    • Offer comprehensive pensions support service.
    • Provide free, ongoing support.
    • Complete all required declarations and documents. This includes P60 and P45 forms.

    What we need from you

    To benefit from this service, we need you to:

    Fill out and return our payroll registration form.

    Within the last 10 working days of each month, you will need to tell us:
    – The number of hours each PA has worked.
    – The rate of pay for each PA.
    – The amount of annual leave each PA has taken.

    You can send us this information by email (recommended), by post, or over the phone.

    Managed Account Service

    Let us take the stress out of managing your care funds.

    If you’d prefer not to handle your own payments, our Managed Account Service is here to help. We’ll receive your care funds directly, keep them safe in our dedicated client holding account, and make all necessary payments on your behalf, on time, every time.

    You’ll always have a clear view of your budget, with friendly support just a call or email away. It’s secure, simple, and designed to give you complete peace of mind, so you can focus on living your life, not on managing paperwork.

    There is a quarterly fee of £91 for this service, which we collect directly from the funds we hold for you.

    If you have a Direct Payment, our fee is already included in your Support Plan, meaning the cost is fully covered within your personal budget. You don’t need to pay anything extra to have this support.

    We’ll take care of arranging for your Personal Budget to be paid directly to us, so everything runs smoothly from day one.

    What’s Included

    We’ll manage your money how you want, following what’s set out in your Support Plan. This could include:

    • Paying the expenses agreed in your Support Plan. This could include PA wages, care agency fees, and more.
    • Paying all amounts due to HMRC (if applicable).
    • Making pension payments (if applicable).
    • Keeping a record of all the income received and payments made.
    • Providing you with a statement upon request. This will show a breakdown of all transactions.
    • Dealing with audit and inspection checks when they are asked for.

    Payroll and managed accounts service

    This is a combined service. It offers everything from our payroll service. Plus everything from our managed accounts service. You get the convenience of having both your PA payroll and care funds managed for you. We take care of paying your PAs and managing your care funds, so you don’t have to worry about any of it.

    • Running monthly payroll.
    • Calculating pay for your PAs. Including holiday pay, tax, and more.
    • Managing your care funds in line with your Support Plan.
    • Making your payments.
    • Keeping clear records of all income and payments.
    • Providing statements and breakdowns on request.
    • Supporting you through audits or inspections.
    • Ongoing advice and support whenever you need it.
